Fu Mei Cafe in Falls Church is gone :(

Fu Mei Chinese Cafe, a cafeteria style restaurant and takeout in the Great Wall Supermarket in Falls Church is close. It's not too close from where we live, but we like going there for quick meal. As past years, we like to go there to buy fresh made glutinous rice dumplings 粽子 [zongzi] for Dragon Boat Festival. Since that's the only place I know that they made the rice dumplings right there in the kitchen. We went there yesterday and found out that Fu Mei Cafe is close. :(

Yes, Great Wall Supermarket still has a food counter, but it's not Fu Mei Cafe anymore. They are wearing the Great Wall Supermarket uniforms, and if you want to pay by credit card, you'll have to go to the supermarket check out counters for that.

We ordered 2 lunch box, and it tasted OK, but some dish is just not as good as Fu Mei. However, the Pearl Tea is horrible. The worse Perl Tea I had in US.

每年端午節，我們都習慣到 Great Wall 超市裡的 Fu Mei 小吃買粽子。昨天去的時候，赫然發現 Fu Mei 小吃沒了。雖然同地方還是有賣吃的，但工作人員都穿著超市的制服。

在那點了兩個快餐便當，牛肉，豆干，黑胡椒雞肉都還不錯吃，但毛豆雪菜豆干，就沒什麼味道。另外也點了一杯珍珠奶茶。從沒喝過這麼差的珍奶，珍珠實在是爛到不行，而奶茶的部份又淡而無味。服務人員的態度不錯，可惜東西沒那麼好吃。

本來我們都會點烤豬帶回去吃的，但經過以上的經驗後，就沒有勇氣去試了。

PA trip 賓州兩日行

去賓州主要是去看老公大學的室友Scott
還有他的老婆Erica及狗Isabelle
4人1小孩1大狗有一起去健行
Erica是獸醫
Scott一年後就是人醫
那狗實在是超級大隻
不過很溫柔就是了

We went to PA to visit Scott, Erica and Isabelle (the dog) for 2 days. Isabelle is a lot bigger than the photo that I have seen. Despite its size, it is a quite gentle dog. Isabelle does barks a lot.

因從小我就沒有接觸貓狗這些動物
所以長大後也不會跟它們很親近
不過老公跟我相反
從小就中就有狗好像也有貓
我不會反對嵐跟動物接觸
跟這麼大的狗相處
嵐一點都不會怕
一直追著狗跑
狗累到多睡兩個小時
那狗實在超大隻
個頭比嵐高說
不過真的很愛吠就是了

保險公司終於打電話過來
車子不用報廢
最快下週五會修好
約要美金2400
減去保險公司付的
要自付美金500元

註：目前保險公司有租車讓老公開

Insurance company called around 4 PM and let us know that the car will be fixed around next Friday. It will cost $2400, and with the deductions we will have to pay $500 to get the car back. They did provide a rental car for the time being.

One less Deer 少了一隻鹿

今天中午全家出車禍
三線道
我們在最左邊的快車道
老公開車看到鹿時已撞了上來
鹿是從右邊過來的
我根本什麼都沒看到
事情真的發生的太突然了

突然的撞擊
擋風玻璃就變成那樣子

突然出現了兩位好心人
停下車
看看我們有沒有事
需不需要幫忙
他們看到全部的經過
並告訴我們鹿死了

老公小孩都OK
因為他們倆都坐左邊

而右車窗的玻璃及照後鏡
全碎在我身上
衣服裡衣服外到處都是玻璃
所以我有流點血
我的車門無法打開
車前右邊及右門都嚴重的凹陷

當場就報了警
也跟保險公司通了電話
明天才會有結果



車窗... 沒了
右照鏡... 沒了
門...開不了
玻璃... 幾乎全在我身上

上週六去跳蚤市場擺攤
賣出了我做的50付耳環
實在是好開心

當然除了賣東西
還是會到別的攤子看看
幫嵐買了三本書
隔壁攤要收時
買了一個黑板回來
那黑板原是咖啡店的
上下各貼了標語
本想把標語除去但發現不行
反正小孩有的畫就好了啦

嵐畫的超開心的
就貼張她旳畫作吧
因是用粉筆畫
若不快點用相機拍
沒一會就會被她弄花了

畫的蠻抽象的
看的出她畫的是什麼東東嗎?

My blooming Iris 我的鳶尾

種了五六年的的鳶尾
這兩天終於開花了
怎都是紫色的?
鳶尾又叫艾莉絲

After several years, my iris finally bloomed, but somehow they are all purple. I thought I planted other color as well??

數週前去看花展買了一包
回家就拍了一張照片

老板的爆米花是用炒的
因為帶小孩就沒機會拍老板炒的畫面了

Sow some seeds 播種子

最近播了一些種子
有西瓜,甜豆,玉米,辣椒,空心菜,夏瓜等等
最近野鳥很多
希望種子不要被它們全偷吃光才好

Sow some seeds recently including watermelon, sweet pea, corn, hot pepper, Chinese veggie, zucchini, etc. Hope the birds won't eat all my seeds.
